Im not new to welding but I an looking to buy a new machine. I have been self employed since 96 until I just took a job with Pride Intl. (offshore drillships). I can git a welding gig if I'll go git certified (6gr) I dont currently have a machine that I can even practice with and am considering buying the Everlast multi 256 next week. I need a good tig for my normal biz at home and could use a plasma from time to time. I currently have a Miller Challenger 172 mig, and a small 115v tig/stick thermal arc that I tig with. I traded a miller econtig for it and a bottle and $500boot. Happy with that deal the econotig wouldnt turn down low enough for some apps. Looking forward to aluminum etc and bigger projects...... not to mention playing with pulse. any opinions welcomed!!!!I added a picture of my normal gig, probly more of a silversmith and engraver than a welder but I like welding!!
