I just purchased my first welding machine a Lincoln AC/DC 225/125. The switches seem to be hard and I have not managed to change them and I did not want to put additional pressure. I guess this is not normal and maybe there is a lock. I read the manual but there is nothing listed in it. Your help is appreciated as I am dying to test it ASAP.
Reply:I bought mine new and the switches were very stiff. Just don't move under load and you should be fine.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum
Reply:Thanks all for your fast responses. I will give it a try again but it is VERY stiff.
Reply:I dont know much of the new ones, assuming it has the white plastic pointer that you rotate to set the amperage. If its like my 80s version try pushing in on it before turning.Briggs weldnpower 225/210/cvLn-25 suitcaseMillermatic 130
