We were given a piece of 1/4" plate to work on. First layer we did some stringers and some circles. I don't care for circles. The we were to build a dam around the edges, and then pad the plate. Most of this is crescent weave and a little stringers. Rod is 1/8" 6010. Amps varied, 75A for the build up of the dam around the edges and 85A for the pad. I turned the Arc Control down to 20 or 30 and I liked it much better. I run one bead on top then rotate plate 180* and run another bead on top, then dip in water. Working my way towards the center. Here goes, two pics, one of the top, then one of the top after rotating. Attached Images"Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
Reply:Thats going to make a nice belt buckle when you're done. It's going to work as hard keeping your pants up as it will taking them down...Ahh, balance   Welds looking good, keep up the practice, practice, practice. I think I've been Mig-ing too long,I picked up a killer stick welder that's really good at showing me how lousy my welds are , I think I'll follow suit to develop skills. Good work on school, it'll teach you good habits and practises.
