return outlet on a water cooled torch

I think I have something wrong - When I have the the torch lead plugged into the negative side the return water hose outlet ends up on the bottom of the connection. From looking at pics of the web it seems I always see it on the top side of the connection.  Should the connection be on the top side or dose  it matter?
Reply:The power cable in the torch is actually inside the water "out" side of the torch..There is NO WAY you can screw this up because there are left hand threads and right hand on the torch leads and the water "out" goes thru the big adapter on the machine.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:ok its the water out the is comming out of the big adapter, the out is on the bottom.  In most pics I have seen its on the top
