Hoping someone here can help out. I have a old A.O. Smith tig ac/dc welder. I beleive these machines were built by P&H. It has worked great for the past 2 years till now. While I was welding some aluminum, I dipped the tungsten into the weld, cleaned the tungsten up and went to start welding again and wouldn't strike a arc. If I try to scratch start it it will just arc and stick to the base metal. I can switch it over to DC and welds great. I took the side covers off the welder and cant see any issues. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks |
