Linde 330 AB/P w/ Lincoln LN25 suitcase?

I just got recently purchased a 330 AB/P and it seems to be working fine.  Its an old machine but I got the complete setup and a nice miller water cooler cheap.I also just picked up a Lincoln suitcase  LN25 at a swap meet.The suitcase will work off the 330, which is CC [I think] with solid core and innershield steel wire, but will it work with aluminum wire?  I usually use machines CV with aluminum wire.I am just starting out doing small stuff in my garage and money is tight- hence piecing my equipment.The guy has 2 more 330's that dont work.  How much copper is in them?  I can pick them up pretty sheap I think.  the unit weighs over 800 LBS!Thanks all!Pete
Reply:We'll assume that's a typo and you mean Miller, not Linde.There is substantial copper in them, but test them first.  Consider throwing them up on the For Sale forum intact as some folks may want them.Do part them out since you can use spares if you scrap them, and if you have any extra pieces post in the For Sale forum. What's your location?

Reply:Don't know about running the LN-25 on a Linde, but don't do it on a Miller 330 A/BP! It will take the contactor out in about 30 seconds of arc time. Reply:I didn't know Linde was among the remarketers for the 330.I'll keep that in mind when scavenging.
