And before you say, "no", let me say that that's what this forum is all about; people helping people. Mike just cut and welded a specialty tool for me to repair my Gator because I refused to spend $50 for a 20-cent piece of metal just because John Deere knew they had a captive audience. Mike stepped up and lathed and welded me one and is sending it to me via snail-mail. Ed, (Screamin' Brocolli) knows we're saving up for a new Honda generator so he loaned me one, a relatively new Honda 6500is inverter machine, a super machine, not knowing if it'd be a month or 6-months until we found and bought the one we wanted simply because we're in the middle of building a small retirement ranch and have alot of corral building and repairs that are spread all over more than a hundred acres. So "paying it forward" is what we all do. So let me get you one of these and we know you'll get the discount. Or at least let me call them on Monday and see if they can extend whatever time limit they have for you. You tell me but I'll be glad to help you in any way I can.

Reply:I think they work the older you get!!! After inadvertently collecting bits throughout my life, I opened my the door on my tool chest where I toss all my bits and really couldn't believe how many I had collected in about 50-years of garage projects. When you add it all up, even if you have cheap, $5 bits, there was like $1000 worth of bits in there and I thought about all the times I'd start a project and know I needed a sharp bit so, along with the other parts I was picking up, I'd toss a couple of new bits in there too even though I knew I probably had a few that size already. So, anyway, that's why I say, the older you get, the more I think you say, "Hey, I need one of these."

Reply:I'm sorry about that shipping. I don't know either but I did what I could about the machines. I do know postal's going up. It's really hurting Joyce's business profits because she can't raise her prices; she's spent 10 years building a loyal customer following so she eats it.

It works really slick and DVD instructions are great For quick touch ups I may still use the belt sander sometimes, but my kid won't. Reply:Well, I sent my Drill Doctor to Dave when he was having problems with the company web site ordering one and I guess there's little wonder why the postal service is as bankrupt as it is. This is how I got it back as undeliverable. The good news is that, because of the heavy-duty plastic case the DD come with, it was unhurt... no thanks to the post office. Maybe they were mad I was re-purposing a pet food box instead of buying one from them at their outrageous prices!!!
Reply:Wow, good thing for a nice case!I got a corded drill recently that was broken by USPS.  They included a note that said they are sorry - that's it though.The shipper called them and was told to buy insurance next time.
