I Have A Gunslinger 260 And I Have Replaced The Board In It What Is Happing Is The Voltage Is Stay On Threw The Weld Wire As If A Contactor Is Staying Closed I Cant Seam To Find The Contactor Can Anyone Help Me Please!!!! Thanks In Advance
Reply:Nice machine. I had one, but got rid of it because I suspected it would be difficult to find parts. I initially had difficulty finding a new gun with proper power lug.In Nashville we have a service center Quality Torch and Regulator Repair 615-726-2763. They were a certified service center for Panasonic, however got out of servicing them because of availabilty of parts and turn around. Though might be able to give you infornation.

Reply:Hi GuysI know this thread is a few years old, but...The Panasonic Gunslinger machines do not have mechanical contacters. Instead, they use SCRs with phase-controlled gate drive to vary the output voltage. It is possible for an element in the gate drive circuit to have failed in a way to keep the SCRs 'on' all the time - at least half the time each. If both were 'on' the fuse would blow as the ends of the transformer winding would be shorted.Have fun |
