This is the bender I built several years ago to bend gate tops. There isn't much bend required but it is on 2" square tubing, usually 14 ga. It takes a long time on my roll bender but only about 5 minutes on this.It is basically 2 rings made of pieces of a railroad car spring welded to the ends of 2 pieces fof angle. There is a cam in the middle, made of the same kind of spring, with a handle on it. You slide the tubing through the rings and pull down on the handle which mashes the cam into the tube a little bit and also flexes the tube a little as well. You keep sliding the tube through, flexing every 6" or so. When you get to the end if it's not bent enough then you go back over it, flexing it in between the other dents until it's bent enough. The dents don't show as they are on the under side of the arch. You do have to allow for a little extra on your pickets when you cut them though. Here it is on a gate I just built. Knowing it like I do, I just went through it bending every 3" or so and got it on the first pass. Attached Images
