Reply:Very nice!  How did you make that bend to fit the tank? Also, do you have the machine attached to the cart?
Reply:I like the way you made the bottom of the cylinder rack adjustable for different size cylinders. Looks like you left room to add a small stick welder to the bottom, and a plasma torch on top. Is that in your plans for this cart? The color seems to be better suited to have a MillerMatic on it rather than the Hobart, but at least it aint RedFirst project, what else a welding cart! My first project when I first got my own welding machine, was a heavy duty set of steel saw horses so I could get up off the ground to make stuff.Last edited by Bistineau; 02-23-2012 at 11:46 AM.

Reply:Nice first project. Great attention to detail. Is that a red mini? I need something like that... I'm running out of space in the shop.

Reply:[QUOTE=allred27;838921no it's just sitting on the shelf[/QUOTE]If you look inside the side door you should find two 1/4" holes in the bottom, one toward the front and one at the back. They are in the little dimples that serve as feet for the machine. Mark their postion on the shelf and drill it out, bolt the Hobart to the shelf with short 1/4" bolts.
Reply:I saw those -- the two feet on the opposite side are not accessible, so I suppose the two on the door side would be sufficient to keep it from tipping off.I see that many use angle iron around the edges, but that would interfere with the door opening on mine.  The door closes very close to flush with the bottom.
Reply:Hey minis!  I am doing a resto-mod on an 86 right now.  Where are you located?

Reply:Very well thought out.  You have some great detailed design ideas.  That must have been a RBFH on that contour!I just took some 16 ga sheet metal, some drawer guides and some 16 ga aluminum diamond plate and did this a while back: http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=60186Again, you have one of the nicest first project carts I've seen here in quite a while... Reply:You are a ways from me.  I am in OK.I don't want to take away from your thread, but you asked.  I bought the car as a good daily driver and did that for a bit over a year.  This first pic is right after I bought it.  It is my version of big n' littles.  A brake cylinder blew out so I replaced that.  While I was in there, I thought I may as well clean it up a bit.  Then one thing led to another and the other pic is how it sets after replacing almost every panel and began some body mods.  I am currently tryiing to make it the first (that I know of) "bagged" classic.....just for funCatch me by PM if you wanna know more.
