Hello people,Far out I never knew a site like this exsisted  I have some questions for anyone willing to help I dont expect anyone to answer everything for me just a few tips would be good.ok then I recently bought a Lincoln invertec t-pulse V160.As Iam familiar and have been pipe welding for the last 16yrs using MMAW/FCAW/SMAW/GMAW processes I felt it was time to move into the next phase GTAW!I bought myself the unit and a length of 2inch carbon sch 80 to practice on.So far my 6 attempts at 6G using the Tig process have been sloppy. My first few questions are if anyone knows about this type of unti:-Pulsing mode Would I have the dial set to off/20Hz OR 300Hz?-Am I supposed to set the downslope control?-What is the pulsing background current control and how should I adjust it?Set Up of my machine and coupon:-My position is either in the 5G or 6G-Im using a 2.4mm rot gap with a knife edge.-My root is usually 87amps-hot pass 90amps-Cap is set at 115-117 amps.i want to master the walking tech first and the problems Im experiencing Im starting at about 5ocolock and getting to the 8oclock point,my problem seems to be when walking I seem to get stuck and all of a sudden instead of walking it Im usually weaving in one spot and just about to blow through ( i guess this would require more practice)After I finish my root I go straight onto my hot pass and most time it does suck back but apart from that the inside root looks like its been struck by a heating torch....any ideas on why this is happening?Lastly for my cap I want to dab top to bottom,am I supposed to tab then move quickly ???For anyone that can just 1 of my questions I appreciate any advice.p.s Yes I know I suck! Thanks everybody
