So I picked up this craftsman lathe last week for 220.00 bucks! Took it apart cleaned, oiled everything and checked all the tolerances.. This thing runs super smooth it's crazy that this thing is almost 80 years old! I made a splash guard/catch all which I got to use my bead roller that I just finish Attached ImagesSIN CITY METAL WORKSvisit my YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/devvon

Reply:Nice! I would be lost without my lathe! Yours looks to be a 12" swing. They are small light machines but they get the job done! Just keep fingers and cloths away from the gears! They will suck you right in.I have a gear cover from my 10" that might work on your if your interested? This cover, I now have a different split cover for the quick change gearbox.
