I've been searching for a free or cheap welding training and/or certification program. Or maybe a work trade situation. Just anyway to practice welding anywhere in the U.S. on the cheaps or the free. So far, all I've encountered is the weld to work program through the Steel Yard in Providence, RI and the pre-work welding training that some places do. Any help would be well appreciated.
Reply:Nothing is free...But you could go to a local tech school and enroll the welding program there. That is only free if you qualify for the financial aid of course.- Christian M.C3 Welding & Fabrication - CNC Plasma Cutting-Mobile Welding-Custom welding and fabwww.c3welding.com
Reply:Of which, you would have to pay some of it back. Join a union. UA/Ironworkers/Boilermakers will teach you how to weld, if you get accepted. And pay you. Not exactly "free" training but hey.Not much in that line in the fine state of Rhode Island anyway. Check out Portsmouth shipyard in Maine. Might have some sort of training program there.
Reply:Are you a veteran? If so I know of a free programin San Diego. |
