Tool to grind weld

To start, I am a very novice welder.  I have a 1/4" die grinder. Is there a tool I could use that will grind down ugly welding?  Something more aggressive than sanding disk.  I have to get into a small area.  Thanks,Brad

Reply:I need to remove some, I don't know what to call it other than big ugly welding.  the welding is done.  It is on the frame horns on a geo metro.  I want to spray metal protection on it, but I want to clean it up.

Reply:Send a pic of what you have to get into bud. That will help with ideas. Carbide burrs are good sometimes, but in the hands of a novice they will jump around when they catch two edges or roll off a lumpy weld and just booger up everything. A pic would help.
