Looking at getting a plasma cutter and at the moment this is one of my opinions. I was wondering if anyone has heard much about these or has any experience. Not much luck with searches so far. The owner says this unit was made in Itlay not China and has only been used twice and is 3-4yrs old. I was hoping not to get something this large but if the price ends up being right then i'll just have to make room for itAlso looking at a miller spectrum 300 on ebay that ends soon. that'll be my first choice if it doesnt get alot of bidshere is a picture of the Chicago Electric unit Attached Images
Reply:Dont know much about this unit , but, will highly recommend Hypertherm plasma's, watch craigslist i have seen a couple come up on here for sale.

Reply:Replacing torch tips and electrodes (plasma consumables) is part of the plasma cutting game. Clean/dry air and a good understanding of operating the unit will prolong plasma consumables life. Get yourself a plasma cutter that you can easily get comsumables for. Hyperttherm, Thermal Dynamics and Esab are the three top units out there today in my opinion.
