Bad Companies

So I would like everyone to bring some light to all the bad companies that have done you wrong I'm bring this up because I've been trying  to get a job at autozone and they have been giving me a run around like here's  your first interview then they would reschedule they did this about 3 times so I was like alright then finally i got the interview then on to the second one which was earlier well the guy started giving me the run around again so I finally said enough is enough and walked out. Also to answer any questions I am a younger man no i didn't expect high pay or a perfect job I know I have to start at the bottom and work up. So if you've dealt with any crappy companies please bring it to the sites attention. Reply:Ok, Airgas/Northridge.After Katrina, they basically went on a gougefest with "act of nature" price increases per their contracts. My customers could buy the same argon and helium at spot prices cheaper than I could, but I was on contract. Every month is seemed I would get a dear John letter about how shortages were impacting their purchasing. BS!!!!! I was locked in and if I got a competing bid they would honor it but the contract went evergreen so another 5 year nightmare was in front of me. I decided I had to ride it out. When I finally got out my Argon T size was over $100, and Helium weld grade over $250. A new contract with current supplier was less than half, locked in for 3 year terms, and increased only 5% last renewal. Current supplier even insisted I write a cancellation notice in advance so even if I forgot to cancel in time, I would not be locked in. They earned my loyalty. Reply:You know, I grew up in the biggest nepotism/player/friend-of-friend-industry in the world; the entertainment industry and realized it was equal parts talent, tenacity and politics. I hated the politics but sometimes you just gotta play. Knowing the right person is gold to you and then, once you got his or her attention, it'll still be, "You're only as good as your last work". But you gotta play the politics. If you're any type of an honest, ethical person, you'll want to take a shower after dealing with "The Boss" every day when you come how but in the beginning, you just gotta suck it up and do it. I wish you the best , best of luck. It's tough but if you want it badly enough, nothing's outside your reach. Believe that!

Reply:Sorry man, there are many employers today treating everyone like $hit before and after they are hired. It's not like it use to be. Years ago there was  loyalty between employer and employee . I was fortunate to have that. Now the ''oldman'' died and the kids took over, not the same. Hang in there, its gotta improve.

Reply:Most company's hiring departments suck.There is a heavy equipment manufacturer in South Dakota who called me for a test and interview a few months ago. Said they were going to set up a spot midway to meet and test because they'll be out on business. Two weeks later, apparently that woman was fired, and the new guy didn't bother going through the people she had flagged for interviews. He just started on his own. So I ended up talking to him. He said he could give me an interview if I could get to SD. I started to plan a trip out there, packed some things, and then got a call back the day before I was supposed to leave telling me he found somebody local. Communication is horrible. Especially at the bigger companies. This is a generalization. There are lots of places with great management. I just haven't met one yet.
