Well I hope this turns into a series of things that I build for my personal fitness Started out with one of my favorites. A pull up bar! I probably should of measured that board so that it sit properly, but works beautifully as is! With being busier in the shop, I don't have much time to hit the gym anymore like last year. So this is my effort to get back into shape to hopefully atleast where I was last year:I tig welded the whole thing (sorry for not having close up of the welds), and I just things that were laying around for ever around the shop. The main tube is a 1" schedule 40 pipe that I used for making all the air distribution in the shop. The square tubing is 1"-0.065" wall mild steel, the added side brace is 1"wide -1/8" thick flat bar, both of which I used for making some ballet stands a couple of weeks back. Reply:Good use for your scrap. My boys have been after me to build them a "power tower". Have you thought about building one? I guess that might be my next project.Safety 3rdGump

Reply:Originally Posted by dj55bBy power tower, you're referring to something like the one in the video? There's various variations of them. I would build one as shown in the video, with no bar running through the center.
Reply:Originally Posted by GumpMatter of fact, that appears to be what I'm refering to. The one them boys showed me at Dicks Sports was'nt nearly as nice as the one on your video. How many different workouts can a guy do on one of those?
