This seems like as good a place as any to ask. I have a Powcon 200sm with a hobart suitcase MIG and large Tregaskis gun and I really dont use them enough anymore so I was curious what they would be worth if i decide to sell them. The only issue on the Powcon is the dial knob is busted off but you can just grab it to turn the shaft. If its worth while I could open it up and replace the trimpot easily enough. Thanks Tom.Powcon 200 SMHobart Hefty CC/CVLinkweld AC-225Thermal Dynamics PAK 5XRBeccazip 4000
Reply:A lot of the value of the machine is the location,,Three miles north of Boston MA will bring you WAY more for the welder than 200 miles west of nothing in Texas,,Beyond location, is general appearance,, post a couple pics,,If the machine is covered in dust/dirt,, the value is WAY down,,If a guy comes to see it, and your entire shop is a mess and junk piled everywhere,, the buyer will be reluctant to hand over $,$$$,,Post some pics,, that will get you a better estimate,, and YES , FIX the knob,,,
Reply:I'm in Canada so thats way north of Boston. lol I'll get it out and get a few snaps once i get in to the garage to tinker. Just looking to get an idea if its even worth posting it. Thanks.Powcon 200 SMHobart Hefty CC/CVLinkweld AC-225Thermal Dynamics PAK 5XRBeccazip 4000
Reply:Show that it works and is in good shape. no repairs needed to get it to work. for best price. Some one will buy it. only problem with powcons now is there is no parts left and no tech support. you have to make all repair parts your self or find something else to work. presented right, you should get several 100 for it. The feeder working will add to it. research the value of the feeder and miggun by them selves. Then add it up and do the best you can. |
