So today in my high school welding class we had a spokesman come in from this college. I liked what he said this college has to offer. Its a 1 year program that gets your certs in all positions in TIG, MIG, SMAW, etc. I'm a junior so I still have some time to decide before i start filling out applications next year for college. Has anyone gone here? Would this college be a good choice or would community college be a better option? I'm just trying to get information from real life welder's or anyone who has knowledge about continuing education.
Reply:Bottom line is how much $ Hobart has a school and Lanse( Chucke2009) just did a vid on a school in Georgia that looked pretty cool. PM Lanse. Reply:Ok ill see any info he may be able to get me. The only thing that i do like is that the college is somewhat close to home only (6 hours away) and my school has good connections there so scholarships are available. I definitely will keep my eyes open to other colleges. If continuing education is the path I choose to take. Some people do say community college welding courses are very good also. But ohio tech keeps all the class sizes down below 25 so the teacher can get plenty of 1 on 1.
