SAM-650 for sale on Ebay. (not mine) just thought id put a few pictures of it up. The largest i've seen is a SAM-400. Until now that is. Wonder how much this sucker weighs... Attached Images

Reply:The story i was told is these weren't regular production welders,  they were made specifically for American Bridge and Iron and the factory would only make them during slow periods when demand for the production units was low.at least that was the story i was told.Vantage 500's LN-25's, VI-400's, cobramatics, Miller migs, synch 350 LX, Powcon inverters, XMT's, 250 Ton Acurrpress 12' brake, 1/4" 10' Atlantic shear,Koikie plasma table W/ esab plasmas. marvel & hyd-mech saws, pirrana & metal muncher punches.

Reply:jeebus... and i thought the big lincolns we use for running 5/16 dual wire subarc were big... i guess the gensets add alot of size/weight.
Reply:Made for innershield NS-3M .0120. 550 amps 12+lb/hr ,arc gouging 5/8 carbons, 1/4 stick rods should be Detroit or Perkins power. John

Reply:SA-800.  Biggest non-portable machine I've used.  You turn the bugger on and you jump back 10 feet because it sounds like a jet turbine firing up.  For gouging with 3/4" round gouging rod by hand, it can't be beat!
Reply:MB you got it we have several also DC-1000 , they made a  SAE-1500  MG/ 2 -SAE -750 's on a common frame about 12 ' long one monster welder !!! We have Arcair auto gougers powered with DC-1000 to back gouge bridge girders .
