So in my quest to move onto bigger things this is a little more progress.I began making a chain link table. Going to keep the rustic look. Just need a cross brace or two (well see and the corners welded)And a hanger for my cords and such.As a side note what would you guys charge to make a table like the one I started? The width will be the same as the height, about 15". Should be around 24" long if I remeber correctly.
Reply:It's hard to say how much to charge with no more than you show being done so far. Sometimes it can look even more interesting when you can make things like this where nothing is perfectly straight. Like make the legs with S curves top to bottom, or a spiral type design.Wrap the chain around something for the spiral effect. I'm thinking about doing one with the chain wrapped around maybe a peice of 3" square tubing to see how that works out. Kind of a spiral look with squareness included too, or do it with pipe. Who says everything has to be straight lines and 90* corners when your working with chain?
Reply:Just easier at the time, and I want this table for my front porch. Slowly getting the shop cleaned up. |
