Just got this bad boy yesterday.WT-20-25R  Got it from Indiana Oxygen Company, they shipped it the same day I ordered it.  Now I just need to build a cooler for it JoeMiller 140 Autoset (2010)Miller Syncrowave 250 (1996)
Reply:Soo..... how are you liking the WeldTec tight torch?(assuming you built cooler and r using it) I have been thinking of ordering one myself, just wanted to get some input from someone who owns/uses one. It seems the only place I can find that sells them is "IOC", says made in USA, hope its not imported then have label put on there...... SQUARE WAVE 175 TIG   DUAL MIG 151
Reply:Ugh yeah, I'm a slacker!  I haven't gotten to try it out, but I will post some conversation I had with another member on here regarding the torches.  I opted not to get the speedway under his advice, so it really depends on what you are doing.  I also got the non flex head, because my current air cooled never really gets moved around.I do plan to have my cooler up and running soon, just been bogged down with work and other projects :-/... so many things to do, not enough hours in a day lol.-Joe Originally Posted by SundownIIIJoe,The standard 20 series torch with the hi flex (braid covered rubber) with a standard head is where I'd start.  If you ever move up to the HD or Speedway, you've got a good torch as a backup. The handle on the 20 HD is only slightly larger than the standard 20 series.  The hoses are larger (uses the same hoses as the Speedway 320).The Speedway handle is considerably larger and is sorta a rounded triangle.  Very comfortable torch to use, but the shape doesn't lend itself to holding like a pencil.  Still much more maneuverable than say an 18 series torch, and will handle anything the Sync 250 puts out (amps). Not a big fan of flex head torches.  Haven't found one that will hold up long term.  If you cut away (I have) the rubber from a failed torch, you'll understand why.  Lots of very small copper lines in there that have to bend if the torch is flexed. Also, in planning, you should look at WeldTec's two piece deluxe torch cover.  Best I've used.  Comes standard with the Speedway (I think), but is available as an option.I've only got one torch with vinyl hoses (a Weldcraft WP20 that I bought off e-bay).  It's still in the box, and will stay there unless I have "a lot" of other torch failures (not expected).--------------------------------------------In another message-----------------------------------------------I used the Miller Diamondback Torches (made by weldcraft) for years.  About 4 years ago I bought my first WeldTec torch, a wt20HD, which is a 20 series torch, uses the flexible rubber hoses (same hoses in fact as the Speedway 320).  Really liked it.Later added several more, including 2 Speedway 320's for the Sync (one's a spare) and another 20HD which I use on the Dynasty (also have a spare).  Both (as mentioned) the Speedway 320 and the Heavy Duty 20 series torch use the same braid covered rubber hoses.  They also use a type compression fitting in the torch handle (to attach the hoses) which eliminates the wire connectors found on the Weldcraft torches.  Their standard 20 series torches are also available with the flexible rubber hoses, but the hoses are slightly smaller than on the HD and Speedway models.  I see their standard 20 series torches listed on e-bay for $139.00 I think. The standard 20 series torch has the smallest handle of the three.  It's round for it's full length.  The 20HD also uses a round handle, which is slightly larger that the 20HD (has to be slightly larger because of the larger hoses).  The Speedway 320 is their "premium" torch and is extremely well made and well balanced.  Both the 20HD and Speedway 320 will take a 5/32" collet and tungsten.I've actually had better service from WeldTec torches in the last 5-7 years than I have with the Weldcraft.
Reply:I've found the place IOC that sells the WT-20-25' but unable to find the WT-20H-25' for sale anywhere,It's on the TecTorch site so maybe I have to contact them directly for pricing on their heavy duty model, not like I need it the 250 amp wt20 will do what I require but always nice to know where you can pick one up at.
