That's just like the waveform coming out of your wall socket.Although not used in welding that I know of, with music synthesis there is also sawtooth waveforms. Both up and down. /|/|/|/|/| and |\|\|\|\|\|\|\|\|\The owner's manual should give some explanation of when to use triangle waveform.

Reply:PapaHarley thanks for that link, I will read through it tmw just skimmed it tonite.  The lincoln manual did not explain that the 2t 4t does not apply with a foot pedal...  I was wo..   ndering why my torch did not have a trigger switch..
