Spoolgun Question

I understand that TIG welding aluminum is only done in AC.  How is it that you are able to weld aluminum with a spoolgun when output is DC?

Reply:The DCEP side of the AC sign wave, cleans the oxides off the Aluminum.  Thats why you can Mig weld Alum. with DC Reverse Polarity (DCEP).  Very simple concept.  John GaultSMAW,GMAW,FCAW,GTAW,SAW,PAC/PAW/OFCand Shielding Gases.  There all here. :
