I got this gun on eBay for under $150. It is setup as a .052 gun. Will I have any problem running .030 steel wire through it if I change the tip, or do I need to replace the liner and jump liner? Thanks.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum
Reply:May need to replace the liner, the liners are marked .030 -.045 IIRC. As best I recall from the numbers it is a 300 amp Q gun, 15' long, and a Miller back end. I forget what the AE8H is for, seems to me they describe head angle and nozzle configuration. The Bernard site has a complete description.
Reply:I would replace the liner too. .030 is quite a bit smaller. I bought the 400 amp version of the same gun off ebay for about $157 I think... an 045 liner would probably be ok. Ifu r running 023 then I would get a max of .035 liner... just les chance of wire getting hung up in liner then.Tiger Sales: AHP Distributor www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P, Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma. Reply:I have an extra miller liner that is brand new. It's the older type with only a threaded brass end on the back. Would that fit a Bernard gun?TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum
