Any advice on a good 90 degree clamp? Northern Tools clamp has good reviews. I would like the clamp that incorporates the horizontal along with vertical but I'm finding those upwards of $250. Thx M

Reply:Great thank you!
Reply:I have 4 Bessy clamps, but they are pricey.  For big projects I have homemade huge ones, using 3/4/5 measurements (redneck Pythagorean theorem)
Reply:I have these BESSEY'S, http://www.amazon.com/Bessey-WSM-9-7.../dp/B0006694FA   http://www.amazon.com/Bessey-WSM-12-...ef=pd_sim_hi_3I bought them years ago at a lower price. They are awesome and save fabricating time. There is a posting about the multi axis ones , three way. Try this, http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...ghlight=clamps

Reply:A better pic to show how it works. you can use clamps to hold it on the square bar while its welded up.I hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys
Reply:Hey Mike, that table has a bunch of openings in it. I bet you drop a lot of stuff down it. Now I know why you buy soapstone by the case.
Reply:these right angle clamps from bessey are huge time savers for me as i build lots of gates and holding pens. Attached Imagesi.u.o.e. # 15queens, ny and sunny fla
Reply:Great info, thank you. I'm going to weld up A 90 myself then continue to save up for some good Bessey's. I know northern tool has good reviews on their clamp I'm going to check into those and see how they look. I'm like Doc, I need quick clamp ups most of my projects need to be done in a day so I'm researching accurate chop saws, band saws, welded a etc. spend the money once. ThxMM
Reply:Don't kid yourselves. Senior Pancake only tacked them together. Then the Brown Truck took them to Mister Tig, for the final welding. Sheeeeesh. It's so fhuhkeen obvious.I use a Strong Hand rig I was stupid enough to buy, BTW. Strong hand products are junk.Bubble gumTooth pixDuct tapeBlack glueGBMF hammerScrew gun --bad battery (see above)
Reply:The BESSEY angle clamps I posted are worth it to me. We needed some 90 degree angle brackets at work. I brought in one of my Bessey clamps and it took minutes to tack up a bunch. No bench, just a tripod and gang box. No screwin around. It's great having the right tool for the job. Frequently , money seems to be the issue to get them.

Reply:I just bought the stronghand tools 3 axis welding clamp from www.industrial-toolcrib.com for 145.00 plus shipping and it was on my doorstep the next day. Hope this helps Steve Attached Images
Reply:Originally Posted by M J DI was thinking of getting some of these. Do you have the small or large version ? Price I got was $110 for the small, $175 each for the large. I would probably be using 1.5 or 2 inch stock for the most part, but I work with heavier stuff as well. I hate to buy something that is to light for the job but yet I don't want something so massive its a pain to use.
Reply:I ordered a 90 degree clamp from northern tool. It has great reviews. 50 dollars. It's quite a big clamp and weighs 23 pounds. I'll post what I think of it when I get it this week.
Reply:Thanks for the replys. I think I will get 2 of the small Besseys to start with. If I find the need for the large one I will get them later. When working with 3 or 4 inch tube it seems to be quite a job just moving the material . Usally I just clamp to a piece of 1-2 or3-4 inch flat and rap it into place with a hand sledge anyway. I checked out the reviews on the Amazon site and it appears even the small one is built very heavy. I have several of the Bessey adjustable F clamps and know about the build quality.Miller xmt304,  Miller S22 p12, Miier Maxstar SD, Miller 252 w 30A, Miller super32p12, Lincoln Ranger 9, Thermal Arc 181I with spoolgun, Hypertherm 10000 ,Smith torches.
