Dear ExpertsHiIs There any standard WPS for SMAW Carbon Steel to Austenitic Stainless Steel ( ST37 to A304 , THK: 10mm , V Groove ) ?If yes do send me the Document No. .Thank you.
Reply:No, there is not. You'll have to get some 309 filler and qualify your PQR. ( if thats what you are trying to accomplish)
Reply:Or inconel 625. I don't understand people coming on here expecting to get a qualified wps from a Internet site. Do your own work and/or be willing to pay for it, if you can't your in the wrong business.

Reply:YES IM FROM an Asian Country and about my question ,yes there is a swps:You might like to look at this:B2.1-1/8-228:2002 (R2013) (SWPS) FOR SHIELDED METAL ARC WELDING OF CARBON STEEL (M-1/P-1/S-1, GROUPS 1 or 2) TO AUSTENITIC STAINLESS STEEL (M-8/ P-8/S-8, GROUP 1), 1/8 THROUGH 1-1/2 INCH THICK, E309(L)-15, -16, or -17,http://pubs.aws.org/p/347/b21-18-228...9l-15-16-or-17You will need to be VERY careful to be sure that the production work you intend to do matches the parameters set forth in the standard.SWPS are of limited use, unless the work you are doing falls into the scope of the doccument.you should know its a forum and in a forum people share their knowlege , do you believe it? if not your in the wrong business. Thank you.

Reply:Note that in ASME space, B2.1 procedures are not acceptable for use without a performance demonstration, at which point you're better off running a PQR anyways. |
