What's your favorite MIG setup for body panels (install quarters) ? Wire size-brand-type ? I just use R45 but this is a buddy with a 66 Bonny.....10 foot long looking quarterz. Is uncoated better than S6 ? It's been blasted and Osphoed.I saw something about ESAB EZ grind ?Last edited by Burpee; 01-08-2014 at 04:30 PM.Reason: ESAB ?Bubble gumTooth pixDuct tapeBlack glueGBMF hammerScrew gun --bad battery (see above)

Reply:I never tried Easy Grind but read about . ESAB SpoolArc & All-State Easy Grind. Here's a supplier that was posted .https://weldingsupply.com/cgi-bin/ei...DEF:OR:130TF44
Reply:Well. Since reading this I MUST try some myself.I hope ESAB doesn't give me an excuse to bash the hell out of them like I do most companies. I've always considered most of their stuff over the top.http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/s...d.php?t=139278In the mean time I'll tell the guy to just run with the L56 from the local hardware. It's about idiot proof with C25 and tacka tacka tacka "tecnique". If it was my car I'd sit down with a #1 and some RG45 and call it a day.O/A is like sex to me.Very relaxing. Some music, no gloves , a pair of #4 shades and kick back.Last edited by Burpee; 01-09-2014 at 03:17 AM.Bubble gumTooth pixDuct tapeBlack glueGBMF hammerScrew gun --bad battery (see above) |
