The beginings of a medieval looking welding cart....will post when finished. Attached Images

Reply:That is going to be cool. I can see two gargoyle heads with a peice of the chain link in their mouth for a handle to roll it with. How will the welded up links hold up supporting weight?Making as much progress as a one legged duck in the middle of a pond, just going in circles.
Reply:Fexal, they look like T posts for fencing. Is that what you are talking about?Making as much progress as a one legged duck in the middle of a pond, just going in circles.
Reply:I found the T posts under about a foot and a half of dirt when fixing a sprinkler system....free metal....thought i hit a pipe underground with the shovel.
Reply:I was thinking about the things I hammer into the ground to hold up the new little tree I planted in the back yard..... They look similar..... always called them tree stakes.......I made up the name........ don't know what they are really called.... hammer in real nice with a 4 lb sledge......Precision TIG 185 and MP 210Bobcat 225NTCutmaster 42O/A tanks.... 2 Argon tanks...... 2 C25 TanksFacebook...... Reply:Hey! I think you're on to something! Great start!Nothing Ever Got Done By Quitting, Never Give Up.
Reply:Most cattle guys would use those stakes to hold plastic insulators for their electric fence...Back on topic, I think the cart has great potential. Can't wait to see it progress along...Andrew
Reply:Looks good like the idea thinking outside the box.
Reply:id give that a practical test before going any further if you havent done so ..throw it around a little, load it,wiggle it diagonally... chain welds may not give much strength..might make a great coffee table if it dont work for a welder..
Reply:The welder will go inside the cube so there won't be much weight on the chains.....top will act as a small table top for welding small things.....although i have thought about setting a couple travertine tiles in the top and using it as an outdoor planter table....i still might go that route.
Reply:Nice, can't wait to see the end result, wich ever way you go.

Reply:Ok I have to ask... What's up with the concrete "S" tools behind the big clamp in the last pict?   Just trying to figure out if you've got another use for them that I'm not aware of..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan
