Reply:I've had one of those for tiggin, for 15 years. It will keep a #20 torch cool, or a #18.The cooling ability is really affected by ambient air temp.I don't like, having to pay Lincoln a good $340 for the 24v, pump, that basically isidentical to the 12v pump sold by the OEM pump mfg. for around $65.(The above prices are old prices.) The pump is a 3 stage, pulsating pump.Other than getting raped on the replacement pump pricing, It's been a serviceableunit.Blackbird
Reply:My first one works fine, It was from arc zone, a kit with everything for about $600.00 Its attached to my Arcmster 185.The Lincoln is $750 and I am OK with that. Just trying to figure out how many BTU because its not listed anywhere. My son will be joining me in business. We both like to tig, so a second cooler is in the near future, probably before the end of the year. I am thinking of getting a #18 torch for the bigger gas lenz and cups available. It will be attached to the V350. I already have a foot pedal. "If a all a man has is a hammer, he will see all his problems as nails" I am doing more heat exchanger work and the customer seems to be OK with tigging everything even though it costs more. Life is good...Thanks for the info Dave, I had no idea about the 24 volt pump.DavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor. |
