Air Pak Pod

Made a quick removable pod for my Air Pak. Makes it easy to roll around the shop or remove from the roll around cart and throw in the truck. Used 1-1/2" 14ga and 1-1/2" 1/8" square tube bent to accomadate the unit. The sliding hook makes for easy center of gravity changes with fuel load and accessories. Design still allows access to all the doors and controls. Wheels are 450 lb capacity each courtesy of our friends at Harbor Freight. Paint is a PPG Epoxy Primer and a gray metallic PPG Essential Polyurethane for maximum abuse.  Now back to work........ Attached ImagesLast edited by gocirino; 02-22-2012 at 09:14 PM.

Reply:I have a question reguarding the welder. I am considering the the 302 airpak any problem with the compressor. I spoke with the airgas rep he said they have had no problems but its always better to ask rhe guy using one. The idea of being able to run a small sand blaster or plasma on site would be very handy.

Reply:Great info thanks alot. I agree you can't beat a screw compressor design. And when you think about a decent dual piston gas engine driven compressor is  2/3 the cost of the airpak might just as well spend alittle more and save alot of space and gain a ton of features. Thanks again, you sold me but to be honest it wouldn't have taken much of a push.
Reply:I drew that same conclusion a couple of years ago when i seen the air pakand that way i really don't need an additional compressor taking up space and burning fuel and if you use a plasma cutter your going to need both so combining the two made perfect sense But it's still a little priceyBut i pick it up with the loader and put it into either of my trucks and i'm good to go if i know what tools and equipment i need to do a certain jobBacked my CATMA over your CARMA oops clusmy me  What would SATAN do ??
