I am working with 18 gauge steel. I have a Harris torch with #0 tip. I have my Acetylene set a 5 PSI and the Oxygen is set at 5 PSI as well. When I try to set a neutral flame the adjustment on the oxygen is extremely minute. It seems like every time I try to make the adjustment it blows out the flame and I have to start all over. This is a hobby set with the smaller hobby tanks. Once I get everything set, it is perfect for the sheet metal.
Reply:Your acetylene is too high. Try it around 3; oxygen around 10.
Reply:Thanks, I will give those settings a try. |
