does anyone have had any experience running 308 L down hill?
Reply:Guess you know there are 308L's that are specifically for downhill.....Avesta 308L/MVR-VDX AC/DC is one. Can only say to practice on identical size material and find your heat and speed. Don't get discouraged too soon as it has a learning curve. Was on a job (not sure if it was 308) where we had 3 different brands of ss and and could only get one to run nicely. Safer to feather your restarts and to grind down individual tacks as you approach them.
