i thought this up in my head simple cheap HF dremmel a nut and flat stock welded to the nut with holes in it for different size tungsten .reason why i thought this up is cause the new kids in my weld class always screw up the wheels on the grinders with steel think this would do the trick ?
Reply:http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...light=TungstenAbove is a pic of my attempt.  It's really not worth it. Biggest issue is that boogers don't allow you to push the tungsten through. Much better off with the HF grinder and a diamond wheel.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum
Reply:This little Harbor Frieght 3" grinder does an amazing job for me when I go on site. So far the coarse wheel is holding up. I plan on putting a dromedary wheel on it soon where the buffer pad is. I keep it in my tool box.Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR" MillerDynasty700DX,Dynasty350DX4ea,Dynasty200DX,Li  ncolnSW200-2ea.,MillerMatic350P,MillerMatic200w/spoolgun,MKCobraMig260,Lincoln SP-170T,PlasmaCam/Hypertherm1250,HFProTig2ea,MigMax1ea.
Reply:im just going to get that little bench grinder i got a 25% off coupon anyhow . hope the grinder works out good it sounds like it works for you good .now dose anyone know were i can get 3 inch diamond wheels ?
Reply:There has been a few postings on this. Since you have the coupons for harbor freight get this. http://www.harborfreight.com/replace...ner-98862.htmlIt's the replacement diamond wheel that you can add to the side of your bench grinder. Works awesome on tungsten . Not my idea someone else posted it. Just remove nut and washer from existing wheel, insert diamond wheel,  washer and nut . I have mine on my 6'' bench grinder. The wheel is from their circular saw sharpener. One member just bought the complete unit and likes it. http://www.harborfreight.com/120-vol...ner-96687.html

Reply:weedenb,Are you in Alaska?  I'm in Hawaii and Weldfabulous has shipped to me.  Thanks for the part# on those wheels.  Going to check those wheels out.
Reply:Golfingwelder,Yes, I'm located in the other odd state. I run into the problem with online vendors frequently, might have just been the Amazon storefront for Weldfabulous, not sure but this case worked out well in the end. The wheels I got are 400 grit and work very nice, I think they are for stone work?
Reply:What grit is that diamond wheel?  I couldn't find the part number but found a 1000 grit wheel. Got pissed off and ordered a couple of cheap 6" x 1/2" arbor diamond wheels on Amazon at less than $10 each with shipping. Put one on my 6" grinder and ran through 20 electrodes in less time than it took to write this. It worked absolutely great and I'm probably good for a lifetime of sharpening wheels now with all the surface area I have
Reply:HellKell,Sorry for the slow response, had some technical difficulties. I got the 400 grit which seems to be just about right, fast removal but a smooth finish.
Reply:Thanks.Lincoln Invertec 205T AC/DCBunch of other crap.
