Laptop Table

Wife is going in for foot surgery. Made a table for laptop to use by her chair and in bed. It slides under chair,fully telescopic, table tilts, and can slide in out . Attached Images
Reply:Maybe you should try it out first..Don't need any problems with that at any time.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:I did try it, that's the problem. I'm gonna have to make another for me. Maybe I'll do mine in stainless.Gotta see what I can scrounge up.  Thanks, I hope so too. She's been through so much already, I am glad to have great insurance.
Reply:Great idea and work. However, it looks a little top heavy.
Reply:It is heavy on top, but not top heavy. It will not tip with laptop on it. Base is 1/4''x3  flat, riser is 1 1/4'' schedule 40 pipe, bent arm is 1'' schedule 40 that drops into 1 1/4'' and rests on base.The top  is on 1 1/4'' pipe with 2 pieces of 1/4''x3 welded to it to attach top. I tacked it up first and tested it. Actually, the chair frame base will be setting on top of the 1/4''x3 feet. It works out great. It's kinda like a POLISH engine hoist !It's ok, I'm POLISH !

Reply:Some non-skid material fixed to the top will prevent the laptop from sliding down on it... Unless the laptop itself has rubber feet or something. Is it big enough to use a traditional mouse on it?Mikel
