I have so many little projects on my mind that I constantly forget about, but here's one I finally remembered today. Just a little hook to hold my keys in the kitchen, with a home made nail just to match. I wish all my projects were this small and fun. Start to finish it took almost a half an hour. I'm gonna put a finish on it now and post another pic of it completely finished. Attached ImagesI hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys
Reply:Looks sweet, wm.It's fun doing stuff the old school way. (I remember when it wasn't old school)Did you use a rosebud, or a forge?I've got to go pick up a hundred lbs of coal for a job I've got to get going on. One day I'll build a gas forge.Brian LeonardAppalachian Ironworks L.L.C.434 Long Branch Rd, Marshall, NC 28753828 649 9966828 702 [email protected]
Reply:Nice I love the twisted hammered stuff. To me its relaxing to heat up a hunk of steel and beat it into submission. If you cant fix it with a hammer, it must be an electrical problem."Boy, everyone starts with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before the bag of luck is empty."-Grandad circa 1990ish

Reply:thanks, I was thinking about using the plazma but my hand isnt that steady any more. I was also thinking about using a hole saw as well, and the pilot hole is where I would weld the little spike for the candle.ron
Reply:Ron I used the same method as Mick and pressed the center, then just flatten or ridge the edges on the anvil. I hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys |
