Reply:here's my other .22 converstion stocks using a Ruger 10/22 and Marlin XT-22 bolt action
Reply:Nice work, the CheyTac is SICK!!!!I would suggest getting the gas solenoid and running the weld-pak as a MIG as apposed to FCAW...You will save yourself alot of time and it will be much easier when it comes to working with that thin stuffMiller Dynasty 300 DXMiller CST280Miller Maxstar 150 STH
Reply:thanks i get a lot of big smiles from ear to ear when people see this at the rangeill look up how to do a MIG conversion.
Reply:It appears to me that all we're seeing is the back of the welded sheet. on a lot of those. This doesn't give us much to work with for suggestions. But I would say that keeping you practice welds all going in parrallel will help. You'll use far less metal and get a better feel for what your doing. also making sure each weld is done on "shiney" clean metal will help too. Especially with those smaller machines. I'm talking grincer or flappy disk clean, not wire brush clean. Please make sure you're getting good welds with this machine before you start welding on stocks. There are no problems. There are only solutions. It's your duty to determine the right one.Hobart Handler 210Airco 225 Amp MSM Stinger
Reply:its actually the front.  ive used a gas mig welder before i was getting a lot better looking welds with it.   yea ill clean/grind off the metals next time.yes definitely.  i dont want this falling off.
Reply:Mig is inherently far cleaner than Fluxcore. clean the welds so we can see them. They've got slag similar to stick welding.if those are the tops, than you've got to work on you speed consistancy for sure. There are no problems. There are only solutions.
