My new job is quite a bit different than my last.(Graphic design/Web/Tech)Its at a steel fab shop, they mostly make concrete forms for concrete yards (drainage rings, hole formers, barriers .. etc ) they also made some aluminum pontoon boats.Getting a lot of experience, welding, shearing, cutting, punching, bending, basic use on lathe and mill machines. They have some nice machinery.Machines im using now compared to my hobby welder (Lincoln 180) are much nicer/easier to use. My machine now feels like a fisher price toy. I would really like to know how to use their CNC Plasma... Here are some pics of one of my welding projects there. ( inner core for a drainage ring. approx 5' high and 8' round. 4" channel and 1/4" plate
Reply:That is a great looking shop and very cool parts. I was also 25 years in the printing sales then prepress production. So I appreciate the learning curve.
