I posted a message on the Everlast sight about buying a welder off Amazon and Lugweld asked me to private message him for a price on a welder. I sent him an e-mail over a week ago about what I needed and so far no response back. I have learned a good lesson, I will be staying with Lincoln, Miller or Hobart as I have always had good customer service from them. No Everlast for me.
Reply:you made a good decision.
Reply:You get what you pay for....I haft to agree if your gonna do a lot of stuff, go big."They" can say all kinda things but when it comes to service, well.....~John

Reply:Why would you lock this post when I speak the truth. I have no reason to lie about what I said happened. As a member of this community and a welding business owner I would want to know if a company has less than desirable customer service, I don't want to waste my hard earned money. The only reason why you would stop this post is due to Everlast monetary contributions to this web sight, I would hope that's not the case.I won't make any more posts if you think I am offending someone or a paying company. There are other very good welding forums that welcome my honest comments.
Reply:KCTGB.  Anytime it's about one of the sponsor companies or their products,  it turns into a mud slinging, name calling rant that gets moved to the sponsor forum and subsequently deleted by that sponsor...  it's nothing against you or your post.  Sent from my SCH-I545 using TapatalkTiger Sales:  AHP Distributor    www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P,  Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma.  For Sale:  Cobra Mig 250 w/ Push-pull gun.  Lincoln Wirematic 250

Reply:Originally Posted by CEPI don't remember the reason, didn't pay much attention to the thread. Just remember Mark saying he was having trouble with his e-mail. He said he gets hundreds of e-mails a week, and for some reason some were not coming through. I know for a fact Mark tries very hard to stay on top, and help his customers all he can. He has been very good to me!

Reply:So he offered to give you a price as his a dealer. Can't blame Ever---- for bad service because of him.  If he can't do that I would just order off of Amazon then. Just make sure that you get it in writing whether from Amazon or Ever----, as to what the warranty is. Too many times the sellers only offer 1 year on Amazon sales. They elude to 5 years, but you never see it on the Amazon page. When the 5 years is balked at, the reasons can be many, like refurbished, discontinued model, whatever. Those who are the loudest on this forum seem to get taken care of. Good Luck.Last edited by shovelon; 03-04-2014 at 12:10 PM.Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR" MillerDynasty700DX,Dynasty350DX4ea,Dynasty200DX,Li  ncolnSW200-2ea.,MillerMatic350P,MillerMatic200w/spoolgun,MKCobraMig260,Lincoln SP-170T,PlasmaCam/Hypertherm1250,HFProTig2ea,MigMax1ea.
Reply:take a minute to read this thread and you can almost feel bad for the sales people at everlast.  this guy is not atypical of many buyers.he is over there now probably trying to edit or delete posts.I am fairly certain that at the end of this thread he changed his name to buckmaster and ordered a plasma cutter.lol  http://www.everlastgenerators.com/fo...0-good-or-okayso many young, privileged, victimized whiners out there today.   it would be best for everyone if they stuck with being hobbyists.

Reply:too bad,  you provide a good example of just how difficult it is to do business with some customers.   by the way, that thread spans over a month;  so I guess January and February were pretty tough.

Reply:CEP,I looked into it, but haven't, done anything about getting one...I'm keeping an eye peeled for a used Lincoln or Miller....I just am sticking to, well, you know....I've had welder problems in the past, and I am smarter than I was before.
Reply:I want one really bad! I wish I would have waited until the 300s came out when I bought my 200. It's all I can do to keep from pulling the trigger on one. Reply:Hit, and miss on mig with the Procon's. Some just did not work correct. If you got a good one they were decent there. I had a Stick/tig that had a pretty good stick arc. If you could get use to all the crying the mosfet's made..  Worth owning if you could get it cheap enough... I think I paid a bit over $100.00 for my 300 ST, and sold it for $800 the next day.. Marked for 3 phase only, but if the fan runs at full speed, then the unit will also work on single phase input. Reason I got mine so cheap.. Some people really like them mostly for stick...Last edited by Brand X; 03-05-2014 at 03:37 PM.Esab/Lorch ET-220iEsab 160i caddyThermal LM-200 Lincoln feedersThermal Pee-Wee 85sThermal 60i- 3phase /RPC powered (Beast)Thermal Drag-gun 35CINE 1500 Klutch 140i

Reply:Those everlast welders are so tempting though...If I knew they honored there warranty id give one a try and if it **** out under warranty id let them fix it on there dime then sell it to some other sucker on craigslist and only lose out a few bucks and learn a lesson. if it ends up being a good machine than I guess I gained something. besides people on CL are crazy trying to get new prices on old welding machines.HH140---------------------------https://www.facebook.com/brandon.pike.9
