I have'nt really gotten any side work lateley, so i'm game to work on anything. Today was scooter repair, took a bunch of pics with my phone, but all got chopped in half when I e-mailed them. Got one more scooter in the hallway that needs an exhaust manifold for a aftermarket pipe, and the guy wants a set of weelie bars. (Sissy) Oh well to each there own, i'll take em! Reply:I've fixed my share of odd stuff. We have a carpet cleaning supply down the road. The tank those guys use to store the dirty water smells like a sewer. Ask me how i know. Lol.So is this for people trying to pep up their vespas? Until you said exhaust I seriously thought scooter like a hoveround..
Reply:they are little scooters the deck is slightly larger than a skateboard in stock form you can do almost 20 mph on one depending what model you get. They are cheap and there is tons of aftermarket stuff for them.
Reply:Yeah from what this guy tells me theres endless stuff you can do to these. I thought they were for kids, he says the one thats getting the wheelie bars will do 45mph! I would think one little pot hole would kill ya! Definateley not for little kids.I hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys
Reply:Ok I gotta laugh now, . Just got off the phone with the guy. He's getting a stroker kit, and a carb kit for the wheelie one. I told him good luck, God bless, wear a helmet, and pay me first! To each there own I guess. Here' a pic of the motor, i'll be done with the exhaust tomorrow. Why could'nt this be something cool. Reply:Haha, that's kinda fun, actually. I can relate to those guys; I'd always be trying to make it faster. Make a video of one doing a burnout!
Reply:I'll admit this thread has Yawn written all over it, but the exhaust manifold is done. Should have used a dime for a referance. This thing is tiny. Broke my butt trying to make this pipe work. The bolt holes were as wide as the exhaust pipe needed to be, cant wait till this thing is gone! No more Go-Peds Attached ImagesI hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys
Reply:Hey man, I think it's cool. I'm currently building a quad bumper. The owner wants to add enough lights to light up a football stadium. I'm trying to keep it as small a profile as posable, but yet protect the expensive lights at the same time. It's not an easy task. But it keeps the skills up and it's one more customer to spread the word.Offering CNC Plasma cutting and welding projects.Follow me on facebook https://www.facebook.com/nobigdeal.fabSupport those that support WW.

Reply:I think I agree with everyone.I take what side work I can get, sometimes picking up a car that died, fixing that car, welding an muffler on, mowing a yard, cutting up a tree and hauling it home for fire wood.Looks kinda fun, and cool. Something out of the norm. At any rate good practice, and money made for you. Hopefully a future referal, even if it's small, maybe 2 or 3 small jobs, then bigger. Never know who that person know's.
Reply:>>You do what you have to to make a dollar<<I admire your tenacity, and I wish you well.Working on cars and bikes is my hobby, learning to weld the pieces together is my quest. |
