what do I need to improve on?

Hey guys.  Long tike Lurker first time poster.   I must say there is tons and tons of great info on here.  I myself have been welding for about ten years now.  I first learned on a oil p.o.s. AC stick machine.  Then graduated to flux core wire welding, thought that was the greatest thing ever. Then finally stepped up to a real mig setup and was certain things couldn't get any better.  I have had my mig setup for about 7 years now, I can lay some pretty good beads IMO.    However I am recently starting my hand in tig welding,  I have put together a small DC only scratch start rig.   I have been practicing for several days now. So far this is my best most consitant weld yet.  But its not perfect. I will be adding a foot control to my setup in the near future (maybe even HF,if I rally up enough parts in the garage)    Giving the pic below what would you say I need to work on the most?   Any and all input is welcome.  Thanks in advance. Reply:im no expert but i think heat is alittle high and so is your wire speed my be just move faster
Reply:Not bad, but the 2nd pict doesn't show as much filler as I'd expect from the 1st one. Also it's hard to tell what sort of prep you are doing. Tig does not tolerate mill scale well, and the picts don't show that much evidence that a grinder or sander was used. A wire brush on a grinder will not cut mill scale..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:I grind everything with an angle grinder and a flap wheel.  Picture quality isn't the best because its on my cell phone.  All metal was shiny smooth before welding.
