Another "thought I seen it all picture"

Today I thought I would make my 78 Ford Fairmont a little more versatile for everyday use, so I put a trailer hitch on her so i can pull my 32' travel trailer and my 28' cuddy cabin. Please let me know how I did, I think it will work just fine....after all I did use 2x3 angle on top of my aluminum bumper and steel is stronger than aluminum isn't it??? Reply:I'm surprised he didn't bolt that hitch to the trunk lid. Saves on using one of those expensive raised ball mounts after the suspension sags and the bumper starts dragging and acting like a sway stabiliser. Then again maybe he's in the parts store picking up a 5th wheel hitch to mount to the trunk instead..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:While I won't deny that some Mexicans make out of this world alterations, those vehicles you see towing two-three cars are actually headed to Central America (El Salvador, Equador, Honduras, and others).We can't get all the credit..lol Some are very creative and would never follow in the same lane behind..lol

Reply:Reminds me of the time I was passing thru Arkansas late one night about 20 years ago and there was an Olds 98 at the same fuel stop I was at with a mobile home hooked up to it! The long haired barefoot gentleman that was driving it pulled out before me and I caught up a few miles down the road. Had to hold back a bit as he was taking up part of the passing lane and I couldn't get by with it weaving back and forth at about 30 MPH.
