Well, not exactly a huge welding job, but figured you guys know metals strengths and weaknesses.  The plan is below.Pics of the grill and frig i am usingPics of the trailer I'm using. Re-purposed popup camper trailer.I'm estimating the grill weight is 100lbs or less, not using the separate stand..The manufacturer states the frig is 197lbs crated, the compressor is on the bottom.Trying to keep this retrofit as low as possible on the wallet.I was thinking of using 2x6's or 2x8's as top decking for trailer, boards running front(tongue) to back and using grade 8 nuts/bolts/washers to attach grill/frig to the trailers top decking. <---This is what I need input on...***  I'm mostly concerned about the frig. Since the grills weight is more distributed. Will the wood be enough reinforcement for the trailer frame? weld up more metal to frame?    ***thanks Attached ImagesLast edited by bmarley5780; 09-20-2012 at 03:15 PM.

Reply:I'm thinking you are pushing the max weight on the axle from what I can see, if you don't exceed it..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan
Reply:Trying to wrap my head around your design, Is everything accessable from the outside of the trailer? is that it?The 2"x decking will hold the load just make sure your attaching through to metal for the fridge mount and you'll be fine. You're showing a sink in the plans, does this mean you'll have a water tank and waste tank on there as well? That should be your #1 priority if you do as that will the the majority of your weight, and also have the most effect on the towability of the trailer. especially with the shifting liquid. There are no problems. There are only solutions. It's your duty to determine the right one.Hobart Handler 210Airco 225 Amp MSM Stinger
Reply:Yes, Its a walk around the trailer, trailer.  LOL  There is no water system so to speak.  no tank,pump,heater...just hook a hose to sink and a 5 gal bucket underneath. Dump in waste water barrel when needed.

Reply:Sorry -The water and elec. and provided at the festivals and events I do.  Bring a extension cord and food grade hose to hookup and I'm good to go.  This build is more for convenience in setting up.  Park, unhook, done. Instead of packing at home, get there unpack/setup, and agian break down re pack for the ride home after event...
Reply:In that case I see no problem with your set up. though you might want to make sure you transport with the fridge empty. anything in the fridge will not be standing once you've gotten from point A to point B.There are no problems. Reply:Those are probably 1,000 to 1,200lb Torsion axles. Weight wise you should be good.My concern would be your grill & the wood decking.
Reply:1st thing to do is run the whole outer perimeter with some 2 inch angle. It helps stiffen it up a bit and ties those corners in better."The things that will destroy America are prosperity at any price, peace at any price, safety first instead of duty first, the love of soft living and the get rich quick theory of life." -Theodore Roosevelt

Reply:Advan Tec is what we used on the last two trailers and it worked fine. Our cross members were probably a little closer and we did prime and paint. We did not use bolts, drilled  3/16" pilot hole and used metal self threading screws and torx bit, allot easier and faster.   http://www.advantechperforms.com/dar...t-testing.aspxGeezerPower Mig 255C185 TIGBlue 175 MIGRanger 8 Kohler 20HP1974 5K Lincoln/Wisconsin Powered (Cherry)Victor/Harris O/AK 487 Spool Gun
