After I hijacked someone else thread lol, I guess I'll start my own thread.Two of my cousins came to the shop this past weekend to fab some aluminum covers for some shakers down in the oilfield. They ask me to help because they had no idea on how to weld aluminum nor stainless. I was like ok, but I'm still a rookie at this. Anyways, I couldn't do tig weld the fillet welds because 1) Lack of experience 2) I kept telling them that they needed to remove most of the oxidation but they ignored me 3) Lack of experience. Finally one of my cousins decided to just weld it with the spool gun since he was in the a hurry (like always). They weren't the best welds but they penetrated.I didn't come up the design so don't flame me. My welds and I'm still a rookieInstalledNeed some input on this, if any of ya were to build these (3 lids), what would be the cost installed? |
