Today I did a bit of painting, welded a thumb pad on and put a smooth edge on a digging bucket
Reply:Why do they have it labeled a  7AKECUCHI when it only has 6 teeth?"USMCPOP" First-born son: KIA  Iraq 1/26/05Syncrowave 250 w/ Coolmate 3Dialarc 250, Idealarc 250SP-175 +Firepower TIG 160S (gave the TA 161 STL to the son)Lincwelder AC180C (1952)Victor & Smith O/A torchesMiller spot welder

Reply:I can't quite tell, but it looks about the size of the Takeuchi we has, around 15K. I hope the fixed booms are better than the extend-a-hoe booms were. We had to have ours fixed several times for cracks. Takeuchi  doesn't even offer that size machine in an extend-a-hoe last time I looked. Parts weren't available either. Only option besides repair was a new fixed length boom..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan

Reply:What will probably happen is the machine will sit in our yard for a week after it was a "big rush" then the customer will call the rental agent who will tell my boss to tell me they don't want the edge welded on it and they decided they have to have a thumb on the machine and the rush starts all over again. Yea seriously silverado, it's only actually 1 more tooth than a standard digging bucket but it really makes them look jammed in there
Reply:Those plates are always temporary seeings that those are new teeth they just cut them off and tack them back on as neededNow if these were old teeth welded on a cutting edge that would be more permanent but its faster to quick change buckets these days than to change teeth..If the machine is so equippedBacked my CATMA over your CARMA oops clusmy me  What would SATAN do ?? Reply:Originally Posted by Firemanmike69That weld is just to hold it on if they use it to push dirt away from the machine with that edge, it will hopefully hold untill next week when the customer returns the unit from rental and I have to cut the cutting edge off lol
Reply:Originally Posted by DSWWe looked at getting a shallow super wide bucket with a straight edge on it just for grading. Boss was looking at either a custom  5' or 6' wide bucket for just that purpose. We used a 36" bucket for general digging and had a 24" and 18" bucket we almost never used, that came with the machine. Can't remember if we had a 12" bucket for that machine or not.
Reply:5 or 6 Foot wide bucketOnly time i seen that kind of thing was on a Gradall 1000 it was more like a box scraper they graded the underside of bridges for the concrete slab to be poured on and slopes like thatBacked my CATMA over your CARMA oops clusmy me  What would SATAN do ??
