I almost stuck this in the miller forum but the guy has some other machines that may be for sale prior to a spring auction. If so I'll post up the info in the sell forum. Anyway, I figured the projects would get more looks here as there may be more things of welding and fabricating interest coming up from the same location. 2 1/2 generations of tinners, fabbers & steel supply giving it up...Sad thing is he's had multiple appraisers in looking (I suspect auction guys) but I choked when he said the Dialarc 250 was appraised something like $450 (with cooler, torch, running gear and cover)...I NEED A PICTURE OF THAT!!! These are beautiful machines, I think he cleans the covers... no scrapes or other such things. He also has a 60's Airco 300amp DC BumbleBee that looks new...So sad, I told him the copper in the lumps inside might go for near that...Anyway the pics are attached.Matt Attached Images
Reply:Thanks Steve, I feel kinda bad for the guy, he even has the old timey tinner machine that was used to put louvers, bumps & other bling on hot-rod hoods & such (like $400.00 appraisal with all tooling...). Also has a nice 4'x11ga 180 degree finger brake, same general money (I don't think the appraiser knows what some of this stuff is).I told him I'd look into these after taking pics & I expect to pick up a Leblond 16"x60"CC lathe from him in the next 2-3 weeks-month. My neighbor is taking a 10'x1/4" Cincy press brake & it's in a bundle with 2 other fellas taking a 12'x1/2" pyramid roll. We gotta get the move figured out.I'll PM you after I get over there again. On edit, yea I know the CVS is not a delta weld but jeeze... And yes the feeder is a 54 (I think), it looks new too...MattLast edited by Matt_Maguire; 11-06-2012 at 10:11 PM. |
