Stick out issue

Ok so just made my profile about 10 min ago so please take it easy. The issue is I have a miller hf-251 hooked to a miller shop master running argon helium mix. Issue is I can't get any stick out it keeps burning the tungsten back inside. Also if ur weld for any time it will Over heat the gas shield. I just bought this machine in a lot of shop equipment so I don't know an history. I have cleaned all connections and the ground. And triple checked the gas flow. Even tried running the flow meter wide open. I'm running out of patents with this machine any help would be great.
Reply:It's on AC I presume..Blowing tungsen up like that would be a gas issue..Do you hear it coming out of the torchafter you hit the pedal when you are not near any metal to weld?...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Yes ac but It's melting more or less till it get just inside the gas shield and then it will weld a but joint or lay beads fine. Just can't get any stick out or enough heat to weld corner joints, witch should be domtonthe lack of stick out. Only thing that makes a difference is the , it  seams to be better with the dial at about 50%.  Also seams to be creating a large amount of heat ceramic is glowing after a short period of welding and has a small amount of light white smoke afterwards.
