Major positioner welding today...First up..70 LB flanges that get the treatment..1 Pass..Machine on kill..1/16" 70S-2 filler..1 pass only..3/32" Red..Note the helper wheels on the bottom..Pic 2..Sometimes we need all the help we can get!Note no burn thru last pic..Before we all get our undies in a bunch there is no liquid pressure going thru these..only SAND.Next post.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Couple of small rollers..Getting down inside was no problem with the 'ol "Bent Tungsten Trick"..Same settings as the flanges and the same filler..Next post.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Very nice welds. In the 2nd pic, where it shows a tack...how many tacks would you normally put in on something like that before you welded it out? Also, once it was all tacked together, would you then weld all the way around? Or would you make some stops and starts to try to spread the heat/distortion?The heat / distortion issue is kicking my butt lately and I'm trying to pick up as many pointers as I can.
