Lawn Chair Repair........

A guy I work with asked me if I could repair his lawn chairs......I asked him what the point was because most lawn chairs are useless pieces of junk that aren't worth fixing......He kept after it and I said I would look at them....... so he brought them over......The chairs themselves were pretty sturdy, but the plastic seat strips had rotted off...... so I said I would do it.....Lots of paint on these things....... which I got as much off as possible before starting.....Still......... Reply:Hey Mike,That is a can of compressed air. A couple of times the paint near the weld caught fire so I used that blast cold air on the joint and subsequently blew out the fire...... Since I had a respirator on I couldn't blow it out.......Pug you make a good point....... Several people take queues from video, including me........ Reply:I never wear long sleeves in summer when TIG welding. I hate heat and if I had to wear long sleeves I would pass out and probably burn my face when my head fell on the project I just welded.Nice job fexal! I see some undercut and to much heat and stuff but should hold up well so long as this guy doesn't come to the party.
