New hobart

I just got a hobart handler 187 befor that i had a HF dual mig 151 and the hobart is just amazing the gun the wire speed the 7 heat settings its great. I am using co2 with .030 wire about 10 cfh of co2 i dont realy know what the cfh rate is for the welder but it works on 10 cfh.I want to do the mig like tig with this welder which is slow wire feed and good heat but i dont know if i can do this with co2. I also ordered a tweco auto darkening helmet that i have never used befor eather is anyone can help with adjustment post.

Reply:wow got a big scare today i hit the duty cycle on my new hobart and everything stopped work. I realy thought i burnt up another welder that would make 4. Well after hit the reset 20 times checking the breaker alot and reading the manual it started working thank god.
Reply:If any one has a handler 187 i would like to know if the fan should turn on when you turn the welder on becouse mine does not.

Reply:well i dont have to car lol (call) hobart monday becouse i just void my warranty by fixing my welder. I dont know but they say the a-stock factory reconditioned welder are looked at very well i guess mine wasnt. They left out a bolt that holds the fan inplace so i founf a bolt and fixed my fan now it works fine i should call hobart and ask for some pay.
Reply:Sounds like you need a larger machine . What were the conditions that it blew ??  Maybe the machine is at fault .
Reply:BD1 i think you didnt read i fixed it already but the specs of my welder are 20-185 amp 230 v 50-750 ipm wire speed hobart handler 187. The problem was just the fan not bolted into place.
